Peter Sunderland

Managing Director

Peter has over 30 years' sales, operational and management experience, in both large multinational logistics organisations and smaller, independent ones. Peter became Managing Director in 1999. He has led the company's transformation from what was primarily a Middle East-focused project forwarding company into a global business with offices in the Far East and Middle East, as well as a strong network of like-minded partners in other key areas such as Europe and North America.

Ian Jenkins

Director Global Trade

Ian has spent over 30 years in the logistics industry, holding senior management and sales positions in both the UK and USA. Before joining Charles Kendall Freight, he worked for 15 years in New Jersey. Ian joined the board in 1999, and has led the company’s remarkable growth in both air and sea freight into the North American market. He has also worked closely with our portfolio of multinational customers to deliver global solutions on turnkey projects, including risk assessments in some of the world’s more volatile regions.

Gordon Mitchell

Financial Director

Gordon's career has been devoted to finance. Before joining us, he spent many years in Finance Director roles at both private and well-known public companies. In the same role for Charles Kendall Freight, Gordon has been responsible for all financial reporting, budgets, credit control and overheads at all our offices. He also has extensive knowledge of the delivery of bespoke software packages, as well as an excellent understanding of pension, healthcare and life assurance schemes.

Simon Harris

Sales Director

Simon has 20 years' experience in freight forwarding, much of which he's spent with Charles Kendall in the Middle East. There, he's managed and implemented the logistics of large oil and gas and infrastructure-type projects. In 2001, Simon returned to the UK as our national Sales Manager, with a key focus on developing the company’s core markets. Most recently, as a Board Director, Simon has helped shape our strategy and direction, particularly in the Middle and Far East. And as our Dubai business grew, Simon relocated to become our regional director in the Middle East.

Murray Frew

Ocean Freight Director

With nearly 20 years of industry experience Murray joined CKF in 1999 and is responsible for CKF’s UK ocean product. During more than ten years of management time within the Group, he has overseen both the growth and the diversification of our product offering by ocean in all markets. A consolidation & project specialist, Murray has been instrumental in delivering ‘best in class’ solutions to our diverse customer base. During his tenure Murray has gained valuable experience in the field in Europe, Asia & North America.

Craig Barnes

Hub Manager - North

Craig graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 1993 with a degree in Maritime Studies . Having joined CKF in 1999 Craig has overseen the growth of Charles Kendall Freight’s Northern Gateway in Manchester. Craig is based at Charles Kendall Freight’s purpose-built Manchester Logistics Hub and is responsible for Operations in the company’s Manchester & Birmingham locations. Craig is a regular business traveller to Asia where he has been the company’s senior representative at industry conferences

Chris Denning

General Manager South

Chris is a 34 year veteran of the forwarding industry, and has worked extensively in the Far East, Middle East and UK during that time. He has particular expertise in Aviation Security, and assumes the role of CKF’s Aviation Security Manager nationwide. Chris is based at the company’s Feltham facility, and is the General Manager, Southern Hub, responsible for all aspects of Feltham and Bournemouth operations.
