Earlier this month Redcliffe, supported by Charles Kendall Freight and CH Field, met with Pigeon, a baby products manufacturer. Our delegation worked to secure and develop further relationships for their markets in the Middle East and Far East. The bringing together of our different sectors in an overseas environment and meeting with the suppliers and agencies was critical in demonstrating our long term commitment to this important client.

"Guess how many popcorn kernels are in the jar and win an iPad2 compliments of Charles Kendall Freight." That was the aim of the competition at the WCA Sino conference in Shanghai last week which went on to be won by Richard Lu of CDS Logistics Ltd. Mr Lu was completely surprised as he'd never won anything before and when asked how he'd reached his guess of 8250 (the actual figure was 8280), he replied that he'd used a mathmatical formula! Peter Sunderland, MD of CKF extended his congratulations to the winner at the formal presentation on stage with David Yokeum from the WCA - see picture.

The Charles Kendall sponsored Business Centre was a great success in Shanghai last week. Peter Sunderland, Keno Cheung and Simon Harris, supported by the team from the Shanghai office were out in force to meet with fellow freight forwarding agents in the industry's foremost networking event. This time the Business Centre was a focus for security in the supply chain and featured examples of the some of the more unusual and quirky customs and compliance regulations faced by global importers and exporters. Joining a scheme run by Total Waste, the paper and card will be rebaled and sold onto a mill who then process it back into paper products, nothing goes to landfill.

Pictured left is Joanna Harvey just 3 miles into the London Marathon, in which she took part on April 17th last month. Months of training really paid off and wearing her Charles Kendall cap all the way round, Jo completed the race in a fantastic 4.30.32 and raised over £1600 for DeafBlind Charity, Sense. Congratulations to Jo who has since returned to her, slightly less exhausting, role as a Sales Coordinator at Charles Kendall Freight's Feltham office.
